World traveler and intrepid hiker Sigrid Selle began her journey through the Saraha in Lome, Togo, exiting in Tunisia. The highlights in Mali were the Dogon country, walking along the Bandiagara escarpment, admiring the famous mosque in Djenne and experiencing its colorful market, followed by the mysterious Timbuctoo. In Algeria, Sigrid and her group had a chance to visit the impressive Hoggar mountains that dominate the desert landscape with an altitude of up to 3,000 meters, where they visited the mountain refuge of Pere de Foucould at Assekrem. Sigrid would not have missed these seven adventurous weeks for anything, and never regretted quitting her job for this unique experience.
