Energy lies at the very heart of the world we’ve built, but its role—and the consequences of our ever-growing thirst for it—is often invisible, misunderstood, or overlooked. We are now entering the era of extreme energy, when the ever-rising financial, social, and environmental costs of fossil fuels can no longer be ignored.
Our speaker, Asher Miller, executive director of the Post Carbon Institute will explore this new energy reality and ways for dedicated environmentalists to make an even more compelling case for achieving long-term survival on a healthy planet.
Asher Miller has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1996 in various capacities, including at Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation. Asher founded Climate Changers, an organization inspiring people to reduce their personal impact on the climate. He currently serves on the board of Transition US.
