The opening paragraph of “Maintaining BART–what will it cost, and where could the money come from?” (April-May Yodeler, front page) listed a number of impacts from the wearing out of BART’s equipment. The article did not make it clear that these are primarily future impacts, and not yet major problems. The study forecasts impacts likely to occur in 2032 and beyond if funds are not found for maintenance and renewal.
